Bratwurst with Autumn Fruit

Ingredients
• 1 16-ounce can whole berry cranberry sauce
• 1 cup chopped onions
• 1/2 cup apple cider
• 3 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 Package Home Game Brats
• 2 medium tart apples, peeled, cored and cut in wedges
• hot cooked rice

Directions
In a slow cooker, stir cranberry sauce, onions, apple cider, sugar and seasonings together. Blend well. Slice bratwurst, on the diagonal, into 1/2-inch pieces. Add bratwurst and apple wedges to slow cooker. Stir well to coat the bratwurst and apples with cranberry mixture.
Cover and cook on LOW for 9 to10 hours or on HIGH for 5 to 6 hours.
Portion each serving onto a bed of hot cooked rice.
